Problematic Supervisors get promoted leaving morale low amongst employees who want a fair place to work. HR complaints about supervisors not addressed so continued to toxic behaviors and hostile environment. Management: DEN Care team Mgmnt is cliquish and elusive. Its who you know more than what you know.ģ. Lots of growth opportunities that often go to "friends" of mgmnt where qualified candidates have no chance to move up. What I learned: Mgmnt in DEN office is cliquish. Patience is key- lots of waiting on other teams to respond (sometimes 10min) and policy changes often without any communication to teams.Ģ. Your at a desk with a computer station taking calls to book patient appts. Typical day at work: Typical 8 hour shift with two breaks/meal (all paid). My best advice is that if you need - more.ġ. This company is also a very good place to shadow for other healthcare careers. The positives of the company however is that the job is easier than most other EMT jobs and has the ability to have downtime and guaranteed hours in some markets. PTO is a joke and overtime is either overabundant to where it impacts staffing or nonexistent to where you can’t find it. This company has promoted less than 5 DHMTs in my time here and the promotions involve a lot more responsibility and around $1-2/hr of a raise. This leads to markets in other states getting shafted with poor ideas. Every change made company wide is only piloted in the Denver market which is the golden child of the company. The company is very quick to change your schedule with their needs (staying late a lot) and doesn’t care at all even though there’s clear common denominators for why. Not all but some PAs and NPs are quick to look down their nose at the DHMTs they work with and will make your life hard. It’s very easy for them to give NPs and PAs raises in increments of $5+/hr but if a DHMT wants more than $15/hr, it quickly goes nowhere. Bonuses are like unicorns and I’ve only had one raise ($1/hr more) my whole career here that came in a uniform rollout to every DHMT in my market regardless of tenure and performance. I quickly became disenchanted with this company as the more and more I worked and the more positive metrics I garnered, I was never rewarded. I started work at Dispatch during the COVID-19 pandemic and was very excited to be a positive force in the face of the pandemic.
